Every year we change this ale a little bit. This year's version, 2017, has a lightened malt bill and variant hopping in the boil to nugget and chinook only. As we were able to source mainly chinook and nugget wethops, fifty percent of which were PA grown, we thought that made sense. Wet hop ales have a different hoppiness. Think peachy, grassy, vanilla more than spicy or citrusy, although some of those latter tones may also exist. We use all wet hops as we would a dry hop in our processing.
Pale, light munich, crx 10, wheat, victory
Fresh-picked undried "wet hops" make this beer special, and only available in limited quantities (as much as we can brew!) around the time of the fall hop harvest.
