We've been brewing this beer since 2007. We developed it with 3 floyds gumballhead wheat in mind, from what we can remember. Intended to be a low gravity beer, with about 52% wheat and oats with low hop bitterness and high hop flavor and aroma. After 2013, we got ahold of some Aussie hop varietals for the first time, namely mosaic and galaxy, and haven't changed that mix since. With galaxy hops being harder and harder to procure, we limit the brewing of this old time favorite to once a year. It seems like this beer should be classified as OG haze brew, at least in our head brewer's opinion.
